What is the Holding Court Initiative?
Holding Court is partnering with a facility for a minimum of 2 hours of women's only court time. Our major initiative: give women court space and they will come play. We challenge and help support women to partner with facilities to secure a regular time and place to play.

Start one. Chapter leaders organize local play and grow the community, and we help you get going.

About WRBA
What is the WRBA?
A non-profit collective of women ages 18+ championing girls and women of all ages to keep playing basketball. The WRBA aims to be the HUB for women's recreational basketball, a place for us to come together and support each other.
Who can join?
Any woman ages 18–100+, whether you never played or never stopped. Age should never kick you off the court.
Do you compete with other programs?
No. We connect women athletes and help everyone find more places to play.
What is the WRBA mission?
To ignite confidence, community, and joy for women through the power of sports.
Playing
Do I need experience?
No. Members range from first-timers to former college and pro players. Many return after 20+ years away.
What kind of basketball is played?
It varies by chapter: recreational, competitive, skill building, 3v3 and 5v5.
How do I find games and open gyms?
Check the Events calendar on the website for local and national events and open gym times near you.
Can I find out about tournaments near me?
Local, state and national tournaments are found in one place at thewrba.org.
